We don't set any cookie — or use your browser's local storage — without telling you first. When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept all, reject everything beyond what's necessary, or open "Manage" to choose analytics and advertising separately. Whatever you choose is saved for 30 days, after which we'll ask again.
Right now, walk2talk.online does not run Google Analytics, Google Ads, or any other analytics or advertising service. The only thing stored is the choice you make in the cookie banner itself, so the site knows not to ask you again. If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, they will only load for visitors who have actively opted in — never by default, and never before you've made a choice.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| consent_state | Remembers your cookie choice (accepted / rejected / custom preferences) | Necessary | 30 days |
| e.g. _ga (Google Analytics) | Usage statistics — not currently active on this site | Analytics — only if enabled and you've opted in | Up to 13 months, if enabled |
| e.g. Google Ads / Meta pixel | Campaign measurement — not currently active on this site | Advertising — only if enabled and you've opted in | Varies by provider, if enabled |
The consent_state record is stored in your browser's local storage rather than as a traditional server cookie, but it serves the same purpose and is covered by the same choice.
The banner will reappear automatically 30 days after your last choice. You can also clear your browser's site data for walk2talk.online at any time to reset it sooner, or adjust cookie behaviour in your browser's own settings — most browsers let you block or clear cookies and local storage per site.
